President Bush is a little prick. Huge newsflash, I know. Nobody disputes that attorney generals serve at his pleasure. That's cool. I'm down with that. President Clinton sacked the whole lot, for Pete's sake. But this latest little snafu is distasteful not so much in and of itself but as an accrual of Gonzalez' complete, unabashed, servile flunkiness. Bush's comment today, his warning, in fact, that Democrats should just take his offer of interviews with Rove et al, without sworn oath or transcript or waking consciousness, probably, is not surprising, really, but it is galling. His every statement in this article is so pitiably threadbare and transparent it's very nearly sad. That he speaks it all with no apparent irony is -- is that ironic? My eyes just crossed.

He is his own biggest joke, and he knows it. At this point, I can't believe that any politician is that outwardly outrageous, and I honestly think this is his big middle-finger to the American people.

I will personally pleasure Leahy (in a way that may only be legal in Vermont) if he gets Rove to testify under oath. ;-)

Way to go, Paul! You've got Ted offering free blowjobs again. Do you know how long it took us to get him to stop? *Sigh.* Looks like I better break out the cayenne pepper again.

BP, I didn't hear you complaining that night in '92 when I crashed at your pad. [insert Brokeback reference here]. ;-)

1992. Things were so much simpler back then....

It's hard to complain with a sock full of chloroform in your mouth!

(Hmm...that sentence could be taken a couple of ways, couldn't it?)

'92 WAS simpler...that was the first year I was able to vote in a presidential election, and my candidate won. A somewhat different era, I'd say.
