I decided against interviewing. It was just dumb. I don't want to waste their time or mine. Mine's not all that valuable, really, but their's is. So that's that.
It doesn't sound like it was worth your time (and really, you're talking about academia here. Will you really have anyone believe that your time is less valuable than academia's? pshaw). Part-time, little to no notice. if you got it, you'd make yourself crazy getting ready in time. Not worth the trouble at all.

No, Paul, your time is just as valuable.
I think you've made the correct decision. Besides, you're working on your third manuscript . . . that sounds important to me. :D
Anyway, the turnaround time for that job is insufficient and it doesn't sound like it's worth the money, time, or emotional strain.
I am at a point in my life and career, it would take a miracle to root me out of my little town in the desert.
My guess is if the right offer comes along, there won't be any question in your mind.
